Keypads for Dark Environments

BOPLA, the German manufacturer of enclosures and keypads, now includes back-lit Profiline keypads in its product range. The back-lit Profiline keypads are ideal for use in dark surroundings and are constructed in a similar way to standard Profiline keypads. Of course, back-lit Profiline keypads also benefit from the same distinguishing features of this technology:

• very good tactile response
• raised key element
• optimal pressure distribution ensures less wear and tear on the snap dome
• optimal finger guidance

Back-lit Profiline technology makes it possible to light up keypads separately. The light passes through a hole in the special snap dome and into the integrated acrylic inlay, where it is dispersed as required. The technology allows the manufacture of large-area keypads and contact elements, and there are almost no limits to customer-specific designs for key shapes and choice of colours.
