Custom Plastic Enclosures

If plastic is your choice because of your special enclosure requirements, the next step is to choose the type of plastic – ABS, polyester, polycarbonate. There are many important factors, such as where the enclosure will be used, and the temperatures it will be exposed to. Of course, individual colours can be created at any time by the addition of dyestuffs during the manufacturing process. After the design has been specified and released on the basis of 3D data, our in-house prototype manufacturing department can produce initial samples within a few hours. Our prototype manufacturing department uses the following processes: Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Vacuum Casting. The choice of manufacturing process for making a prototype depends on the accuracy and the number of samples which are required, and also how the samples (design samples, proportion samples, function samples) will be used. After detailed discussions have taken place with our customers, we always use the method which is most suitable in terms of cost effectiveness and technical requirements.

After release of the prototype, we start to prepare the manufacturing documentation, and then we manufacture the tool. After you have given your approval, manufacture of your special plastic enclosure takes place on high-performance injection moulding machines at one of our supplier plants.

Any additional steps, for example optional services connected with the enclosure (mechanical processing, fitting of electronic components, printing, etc.), electrical testing and the fitting of input units during the manufacturing process of a special plastic enclosure are, of course, possible.
